Foraging and food - 2019

 

 

Prices below are per person.

 

 

Foraging and food prices for 2018 will be £125 per person.

 

The day consists of meeting in the morning, the time is dependent on the time of the tide.

 

 

9 am to 10 am

 

 

Meet near Pembroke.

 

 

10.30am

 

 

Head off to the shoreline in search of seaweeds.

 

 

11.30am

 

 

Travel to a local estuary to gather edible plants.

 

 

12.30pm to 1pm

 

 

We stop for a short break for lunch and a cup of tea.

 

 

1pm until 5pm

 

 

Depending on the time of year we now head either into the hedgerows for edible plants or into the woodlands for a fungi hunt. The fungi days are best from July to November.

 

I take up to six people at a time for my outings, but I can arrange for larger parties.
 

6 pm or 7 pm

 

Dinner

 

 

What you will need

 

A packed lunch, A flask of tea or coffee. Bottled water.

 

Although I normally carry a hot flask of tea and I always have water available.

 

 

Clothing

 

Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. A raincoat & good wellies are the best options as far as footwear is concerned.

 

 

Note

 

 

All ingredients come from Pembrokeshire or within Wales.

 

I have one table for six people at a time so early booking is essential to avoid disappointment.

 

Final payment for your day out must be paid at the latest 24 hours before you arrive.

 

 

Deposit is refundable if the weather stops us from getting out on the coast and we cannot rearrange other suitable dates.

 

 

If needed I can arrange for larger parties and private dining evenings only if required, either at your home or at my outdoor base.

 

Good notice is needed for larger parties.

 

A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for a foraging and food day.

 

This due to preparation work and organisation.

 

Please advise me of any food allergies and dietary requirements on contact and also as a further reminder of any requirements a few days before you arrive.
